Joe has been teaching private lessons since the spring of 2006 in the styles of orchestral, marching, drum set and hand percussion ranging from Afro-Cuban to African styles. His students have gone on to participate in solo competitions and rating festivals, as well as county and state honor bands and orchestras. He has also taught drum circles for different groups to further expand an awareness of percussion in both Los Angeles County and Ventura County.

He is currently teaching in the Thousand Oaks and Woodland Hills area. Lessons are available in half hour or hour increments.
